The Business Analyst takes the lead on designing processes, defining functional requirements, and implementing key initiatives as a part of my Client’s evolving business strategy. This position works closely with the Client, Sales, Application Development and the leadership teams in identifying and implementing solutions to meet business objectives. The effective Business Analyst will quickly grasp an understanding of all my Client’s business areas, research and identify goals and challenges, and take the lead on developing solutions. The Business Analyst must have the ability to effectively communicate established initiatives -- both, internally to employees, and externally to clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with Sales, Clients, Product Development and Application Development team members to gather and document business, technical, and operational requirements for initiatives through current state and target conditions
Create diagrams to demonstrate current condition and pain points; data flow, as well as diagrams that demonstrate target condition of various processes and the recommended solution
Provide analysis of requirements and potential solutions to identify gaps and possible ways to mitigate each. This includes the ability to understand the costs and risks of filling these gaps and the ability to describe that internally and to our clients
Identify and track defects, provide metrics and reporting, and identify improvements.
Assist in developing a project approach, scope, budget and resource plan including gaining the support and investment of the leadership team
Assist Sales and Product Development in researching and analyzing new business opportunities and prepare synopsis of findings for review
Identify project dependencies and raise issues to leadership team
Deliver informative, well-organized presentations. Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures
Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate
All other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or six to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
